Kari Kapitan = Captain’s Curry
Legend has it that Kari Kapitan was created when a British ship was docked in Malaysia and the captain’s cook, taking influence from a local curry (but with slightly less chilli) presented the curry to the captain who asked what it was, to which he replied ‘curry, captain’ and so we have Kari Kapitan!

Our Tempeh Kapitan is made with organic tempeh steaks from Protempeh, potato and green beans in a zesty lime and coconut curry. Eat with fresh steamed rice and add a squeeze of lime for that extra mmmm!

Our curries are packaged in boxes of 2 and will be delivered frozen. Continue to store in the freezer or defrost in fridge overnight and consume within 3 days.

Heating Instructions

MICROWAVE FROM FROZEN: Remove lid from box and place box on a microwavable plate. Microwave on high heat for 12 minutes stirring half way through. HOB: DEFROST IN FRIDGE OVERNIGHT. Empty contents into a saucepan and cook on a medium heat, slowly bringing to a gentle simmer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring continuously. Ensure food is piping hot all the way through before eating!

Delivery

Orders will be delivered on the first Thursday of every month. You need to place your order by Sunday night to receive it the following Thursday. Orders are sent out from our kitchen on Wednesday via Parcel Force next day delivery and will be with you on Thursday, barring any unforeseen delays.
